RND aka RaNDom is an electro-dub project started by Matt B in winter 2003 in Tokyo.Shortly after in spring 2004 the critically acclaimed demo 'Cuts One' was released : a mix of electronica and
dub cuts. Following the overwhelmingly positive response to their independently released e.p 'Point Two' in winter 2004,RND have since taken a subtle shift in direction by including in their line
up tabla player Shinsuke Inoue(a long term student of the revered Kul Bhushan Bhargava). Adding this new percussive drive and flexibility to their other live instrumentation and digital
manipulation has continued to make RND's live appearances(from London's Alexandra Palace to Tokyo's Womb)such a success. It has also ensured their tracks are regularly played by chill out
luminaries such as Nova(Ultimae Records)and Gaudi (Interchill Records). Roger Linley ,aka the Viscount, joined the crew during the 2005 european gigs and soon became a very important contribution
of what is today's RND sound.

A suivre…

Another The Lost Tapes exclusive compilation, this time the focus is on the Japanese super producer DJ Krush. The theme here is his collaborations with US emcees, you'll hear guys like Guru,
Black Thought, Mos Def, Method Man, Mr. Lif and a whole bunch of others flow on top of his dense atmospheric instrumentals. The rhythm knocks, punches and swings but the majority of the tracks
found here are in the key of ambient music; creating an interesting connection between the hard and the smooth. Filled with jazzy pianos and horns the dark and moody music transforms into a
coherrent unit which shows Krush's Japanese herritage as well as his American hip-hop influences. Considering how much the sound of jazz is evident in his music, I made a decision to close the
"album" with his take on Miles Davis's legendary "Black Satin", which is a personal favorite of mine. This is music I strongly recommend to anyone familiar or not familiar with the extended work
of DJ Krush and hopefully it will inspire you to pick up some of his retail albums (where some of these tracks comes from, other from rare 12" releases or remix albums). I would like to give a
shout out to my man Undiluted Karma for hooking me up with his edits of the instrumental interludes found on here (tracks #11 and #17), thanks homie.

    From Wikipedia
    :

The discography of the English rock band
Led Zeppelin consists of nine studio
    albums
, three live albums, nine compilation albums, sixteen singles, eight music downloads, three charted songs and two video albums. Formed in London in 1968, the group consisted of guitarist
Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bass player
John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The band pioneered the concept of album-oriented
    rock
and often refused to release popular songs as singles.[1] Their debut album, Led Zeppelin (1969), released by Atlantic
    Records
, charted at number six on the UK Albums Chart and at number ten on the United States Billboard 200. It received several sales certifications, including an 8 times multi-platinum from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Diamond from the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA). Led Zeppelin's second
studio album, Led Zeppelin II, recorded when the band were on tour, was released a few months after the
first. It reached number one in several countries, including the UK and the US, where it was certified 12 times multi-platinum. The album produced Led Zeppelin's most successful single,
"Whole Lotta Love", which peaked at several music charts in the top 10. Led Zeppelin III (1970) was a softer, more folk-based effort
compared to the hard rock of the band's previous releases.[2] It also peaked at number one in the UK and in the US.

Led Zeppelin's untitled fourth album, often called Led Zeppelin IV and released on 8 November 1971, is
their most commercially successful album. It received a 23 times multi-platinum certification from RIAA, the third-highest of all albums.[3] The band's fifth album, Houses of the Holy, was released in 1973. Again a transatlantic chart-topper, it has received an 11 times
multi-platinum certification from RIAA. In 1974, the band set up their own vanity label, Swan Song Records, which would release the rest of Led Zeppelin's studio albums. The first was the 1975 double album Physical Graffiti, which has received
a 16 times platinum certification from RIAA. However, Zeppelin's seventh album, Presence (1976),
did not perform as well as their previous releases, receiving a triple Platinum certification from RIAA. On 20 October 1976 Led Zeppelin released their first concert film The Song
    Remains the Same
. The recording of the film took place during three nights of concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York City, during the band's
1973 concert tour of the United States.[4] The band's eighth album, In Through the Out Door, received a sextuple platinum certification. This was the last album
released by the band before Bonham died of alcohol intoxication in 1980; Led Zeppelin disbanded
    immediately afterwards.[5]

In 1982 Led Zeppelin released the album Coda, a compilation of outtakes from the band's previous
recordings, but still considered to be a studio album.[A] Since
their break-up, the band have released numerous compilation and live albums from older concerts, including How the West Was Won, which peaked at number one on the Billboard charts, and the compilation album
Mothership, which produced seven music downloads and was released on the same day Led
Zeppelin's entire catalog became available in digital stores, including in the iTunes Store.[6] "Stairway to Heaven", which has never been released as an official single before, was one of these songs released in
digital stores.[7] The band has sold over 300 million albums worldwide,[8] including
111.5 million certified units in the United States.[9]

    http://www.myspace.com/sebastiansturm

    Origine du Groupe : Germany

    Style : Reggae

    Sortie : 2011

For all the people out there who say none of this music is in the Animatrix or for the one guy who said it's all in there.

Most of it is, and 2 or 3 tracks are not featured in the film. That's how it always goes with soundtracks.

(All of these are approximations, don't get too nitpicky, ok?)

    1. Peace Orchestra "Who Am I?" (Animatrix Edit) - Kid's Story - This one is heard in the morning whilst the boy eats breakfast and skateboards to school and ends when he closes his locker.

    2. Free*Land "Big Wednesday" - The Second Renaissance Part One - This one begins as soon as we see the large overview of the futuristic city at the beginning of the short (after the red and
yellow introduction), and ends after the large 'robots toiling tirelessly scene'.

    3. Layo & Bushwacka! "Blind Tiger" - Detective Story - This one begins when Mr. Ash 'looks at his bank account balance' and ends when he goes to see the 'one that's left, the crazy one.' But
is spliced up a bit, so any voice in the actual song isn't in the film.

    4. Supreme Beings of Leisure "Under the Gun" - Detective Story - This one begins when Ash rushes out the door to catch the train, and ends when he enters Trinity's train compartment. Again, it's
spliced up to use the good bits without any singing.

    5. Meat Beat Manifesto "Martenot Waves" - The Second Renaissance Part One - This one begins after the Versitran ad, and runs for a short 25 or so seconds during the news clips before the UN
    scene.

    6. Photek "Ren 2" - The Second Renaissance Part One - This one plays during the news clips of the robots being (partly) wiped out after the B166ER trial.

    7. Death In Vegas "Hands Around My Throat" - Beyond - This one is heard in the background of the teenaged girl's phone conversation.

    8. Junkie XL "Beauty Never Fades" (Animatrix Edit) - I don't think this one appears in the Animatrix at all, unless.. just maybe it plays during the robots advancing outward in all directions
after Zero-One is bombed (in 2nd Renaissance Part2).. if it is, it plays for about 7 seconds, so I can't tell.

    9. Overseer "Supermoves" (Animatrix Remix) - The Second Renaissance Part Two - The battle scene.

    10. Juno Reactor "Conga Fury" (Animatrix Mix) - The Final Flight of the Osiris - The opening sword fight.

    11. Junkie XL/Don Davis "Red Pill, Blue Pill"

    (featuring dialogue from The Matrix)

    AND

    12. Tech Itch/Don Davis "The Real"

(featuring dialogue from The Matrix Reloaded)

Are NOT featured, as far as I know. And by the way, you labeling fools, the quote from the Merovingian in Track 12, "You are ready to die..? (..for this man)" Actually appears in The Matrix
Revolutions, but was in a preview for both the 2nd and 3rd Matrix films, so I can understand the confusion. And it might be in the trailer at the end of the 2nd film's credits too.

Heights of Abraham are Sim Lister, the brains behind 23 Records and once part of the nascent Sheffield scene from the early 80s; vocalist and Lister's old Chakk team-mate Jake Harries; and Steve
Cobby, one half of notorious beats & bobs explorers Fila Brazillia and Lister's 23 Records co-conspirator. While they've hardly been twiddling their thumbs, 'Two Thousand and Six', apart from
being the first Heights record where everything is under their control, is their first since 'Humidity' (1993) and 'Electric Hush' (1994, re-released on ZTT in 1996). The essence of their
previous 'freestyle techno' remains, with fresher focus on accessibility and melody, vocals and more straight song formats. offers Steve. "If anything, we're trying to make a grown up album,"
offers Steve, "without it being pipe & slippers music. We're still flying the flag for quality and invention, and trying to investigate that massive grey area no-one wants to occupy." There's
no denying that Heights of Abraham maximise the conventions of late night tales and 'all-back-to-mine' get-togethers - rivulets of tingling, cyclic keys, soft-top horns and windswept
tranquillity. "With chill-out", Steve remarks, "people think you really not meant to listen to it, you put it on as background music. But here, there's a lot to listen to." 'Two Thousand and Six'
is therefore a classic, slow-burning soul massage of electric relaxation, continually bobbing between the sticky heat of summer siestas and the nip of the night air. Features 11 tracks including
'Striplight', 'Open Source', 'Western Edge', 'New World City', 'Everybody Knows', 'Intruder' and more.

The fourth and penultimate EP of the S.O.U.N.D. series, initiated by the Dub Addict crew, is finally available. It offers two new Pilah’s compositions : “Crazy Democracy” (and its dub version),
highly representative of his both roots and modern dub; and “Dub Card”, made in a more digital style. Joe Pilgrim’s melodically inspired voice (already featured in the “U” EP with Roots Massacre)
tremendously leads these tracks, supported by meticulous and unique arrangements, getting free of the traditional dub scene.

In an Internet-driven music culture, not much can sneak up on listeners. Between “leaks,” previews and the sheer number of online reviews/resources available to music fans, there aren’t many
mysteries on Tuesdays in 2010. Gas Mask, the debut release from The Left (producer Apollo Brown, emcee Journalist 103 and DJ Soko) is definitely a product of that environment – with a twist. The
album has blazed up the ‘net, with blogs posting reviews of advance copies and many proclaiming Gas Mask as the best release of the year, if not the decade. The fact that there were no leaks, no
available downloads and no apparent bootlegging only added to the album’s mystique.

On October 26, the Internet sensation was released to the masses – and it was most certainly worth the wait.

The opening track, the aptly named “Change”, sets the tone for the rest of the album. An almost bluesy vocal sample eventually gives way to a pounding beat and Soko’s incredible work on the 1s and
2s. By the time the album’s title track kicks in, the listener is hooked by the combination of another soulful vocal sample, pounding drums and horns that would make Pete Rock smile. Then
Journalist 103 joins the fray. His aggressive flow matches the track’s pace and atmosphere, while his lyrics, dealing with the current state of hip-hop, bring the song to that next level.

Not content to rest on their laurels, The Left invite the legendary Kool G Rap to join them on the very next track, “Frozen”. Apollo Brown steps up the aggression on the production tip, with a
track that sounds like the very best of the Golden Era – without sounding dated. Both Journalist and G Rap sound natural on the track and both turn in outstanding vocal performances. It’s
definitely a track that will have you hitting rewind.

Kool G Rap’s inclusion on the album is appropriate, as Apollo Brown’s production seems to draw on the finest our genre has to offer, from the Golden Era to today: the aforementioned horns that
would make the Chocolate Boy Wonder proud; bass lines influenced by the work of his fellow Detroit producer J. Dilla; strings that Premier himself would go crazy for; and hard hitting drums that
Marley Marl would most certainly appreciate and recognize.

Gas Mask is also very clearly influenced by The Left’s surroundings. This is a Detroit record: full of grit, yet still very soulful – appropriate for Motown. Journalist 103 matches the mood of the
album’s production with lyrics that capture his city. On “Real Detroit”, featuring Marv Won (previously released on Apollo Brown’s The Reset, but with different production here), the two MCs offer
listeners a glimpse of their city and Apollo Brown serves up a foreboding track to match the lyrics. The Motor City is also the subject on “Reporting Live” featuring Guilty Simpson – and the track
is an absolute banger (I’m sensing a theme here) that sheds more light on the development of some of hip-hop’s finest.

Although the album is clearly influenced by Detroit, the city isn’t the only topic on Gas Mask. Journalist offers up personal narratives about his journey to the microphone (“Desperation”), a love
song that doesn’t give in to conventional metaphors and clichés (“The Melody”), a tribute to those who have influenced him along the way (“Homage” featuring Frank West) and, of course, an ode to
the death of wack MCs (“The Funeral”).

Gas Mask is 17 tracks of pure hip-hop. No filler. No fluff. The album’s guests, including those previously mentioned, as well as Paradime, Finale, Mu, Invincible and Hassaan Mackey, only add to the
dopeness. When you consider the praise heaped on this album prior to its release, and the fact that it delivers, and exceeds the accompanying high expectations from listeners, The Left’s debut
elevates into rarified air. While the “C” word is often thrown around, Gas Mask certainly deserves the label – and looks good wearing it.
