A quoi bon alors ? Ben,

‘Sold out Cyclone’ was spawned from a splendid wingspan of chequered faces from within the belly of a bloated 2008. Four saucer-eyed characters collided in different places, curious and wonderful
spaces, with accents that entwined one another’s damp tongues. They clutched one another as the 19th Century west London carnival screamed past their temporary abode rattling the windows wildly
and dancing upon sleeping ponies. They new all was true and well when the earth tilted slowly and rained warmth across their welded brows.

Partnering again with Berlin-based producer Ewan Pearson, Tracey Thorn has created an album that is striking in its simplicity. Recorded in Berlin and London, Love And Its Opposite features
contributions from Hot Chip's Al Doyle, The Invisible's Leo Taylor, Jens Lekman, Nashville songwriter-drummer Cortney Tidwell, and Lost Valentinos' guitarist Jono Ma. The tight, often undecorated
arrangements for guitar, piano, bass, and drums (and a smattering of strings and woodwinds) confront the full uunvarnished weight of complex relationships in flux.

Fresh off the heels of his new album ‘void();‘, Access To Arasaka treats us to a fantastic new EP titled ‘Orbitus‘. Based around a detail within the “Takeshi Kovacs” novels by Richard K.
Morgan, ‘Orbitus‘ references Martian orbitals that shoot down anything that flies over a specific height, save for one gap near the planet’s equator, and how the characters try to figure out how
to bring them down; symbolic of the limitations we place on ourselves and our attempts to overcome them.

‘Orbitus‘ finds Access To Arasaka in top form, incorporating complex, serendipitous beatwork against a stunning backdrop of thick atmospheres and  futuristic synthlines. Beautiful and
flowing dark electronic music that will surely grace any set of headphones.

Yet another Russian producer to grace the hallowed pages of my blog! Kind of different from the stuff I usually post, but still really good tunes. I heard about this fella from the collabs he did
    with Foner.

This is 30[eks]'s third release, titled ThirtyX, and it's an engaging, sprawling, set of 15 ambient IDM tunes. These well-crafted melancholy soundscapes, layered with synthy textures and haunting
melodies, are sometimes evocative of artists like Boards of Canada, but ultimately develop a sound of their own.

Not an instant classic by any means, sometimes even flirting with cheesiness, but definitely worth a few listens.

    From Official Site :

Music for Real Airports is a multimedia art project by musicians The Black Dog and interactive artists Human which is presented in art galleries. It is also a new album of music by the Black Dog.
It is a response to the reality of occupying the semi-public space of an airport, and a contemporary reply to Brian Eno's work from the 70s.

Airports are important and revealing. They are dystopian microcosms of a possible future society. The necessity of safety requires that they be systems of human control which only elevate the
stress of their transient occupiers. Airports' promise travel, exploration and excitement but endlessly break that promise with their stale, tedious pressure. They are intense and overwhelming
environments. Anyone who travels by air will have been puzzled by the way that airports tend to reduce us to a worthless pink blobs of flesh, the human equivalent of the bags on the conveyor
belt. Yet despite the frustration of being in that atmosphere, some of the best of human nature is revealed, alongside some of the very worst. Airports make for great "people watching".

The artistic intent of Music for Real Airports is therefore to examine the nature of airports and to explore what they could be. We argue that, considering their importance in our lives, airports
have not been sufficiently represented by artists. Perhaps the best known artistic response to airports is Brian Eno's Music for Airports, whose purpose seems to be largely elegiac, even if
conceived as an antidote to the stress of plane delays. Our performances, events and installations are a more accurate update to Eno's work, and a to a degree, a riposte. Some members of The
Black Dog were disappointed by Eno's treatment of the subject in 1978 and have been considering how to produce a more meaningful response ever since.
