    Frrom Official Myspace :

    From Official Myspace :
Coco And The Bean, comprising of writer/producer team Les Hodge and Taf McLaren, released their first single “Money” in 1991 on the Edinburgh-based label Baghdad Radio Records. Critically acclaimed, this limited edition on vinyl features vocals from London-based rapper Dravedian - all set to a funky backdrop. 1992 saw the release of the second Baghdad Radio 12’’, “Talking With A Number 6”/”Mr Repairman”, featuring rapper Mike from Washington DC. By this time Coco And the Bean were receiving widespread interest from record companies and press across the UK generated by their funk/soul/hip-hop influenced sound. In 1995 Coco And the Bean signed to Mantra Recordings. The release of the singles “Western Ways” (simultaneously Single of the Week in Echoes, Music Week and the NME) and “Killing Time” followed. Coco And The Bean were by now also working on other projects, including the “East Coast Project” and “Blunted” releases on Natural Response, remixing Sugar Bullet for Parkway Records, and remixing reggae icon Bim Sherman. By 1997 Coco And The Bean included in its line-up - vocalist Gwen Esty from Yorkshire, Edinburgh-based vocalist Zeb, guitarist/keyboardist Chris Dawkins formerly with Nightmares On Wax and DJ A1. The result was the release of three singles - “All-Star”, “Versus the 90’s”, and “Fair Play” – and the laid-back soul and hip-hop sound of the 1998 long-player “Tales From the Mouse House”. Coco And The Bean are featured on various film soundtracks – notably, “Nowhere”, “Le Ciel, Les Oiseaux, Et Ta Mere”, and “Splendour” – and compilations. Les Hodge and Taf McLaren continue to work with soul project Harmonized and to produce vocalist Mystikman.

A consistently average album from Linval Thompson, Six Babylon is nonetheless a step up from I Love Marijuana in terms of the quality of both the music and the melodies.  The best track may be "Give Thanks and Praise," featuring a classic organ and bass-heavy rhythm used in the '90s for hits like Sanchez' "Missing You."  Also moderately musical are "Don't Give Up," with its driving bass and bluesy guitar, the rocking "Africa We Want To Go," "No Confusion, No War," and "Be Careful My Brother," featuring a bass line reminiscent of Gregory Isaacs' "Soon Forward."

    From Wikipedia :
The Grateful Dead Movie Soundtrack is a five CD live album by the Grateful Dead. It was recorded from October 16 to October 20, 1974, and was released on March 15, 2005.

In 1974, the Grateful Dead were exhausted from touring, and their sound system, the "Wall of Sound", had proven too expensive to continue with. In response, the group decided to stop touring for an indefinite period of time. In October they played five nights at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, California. As they were the last concerts before the hiatus, the Grateful Dead wanted them to be properly recorded and documented by a film crew.

The results were a rather unsuccessful live album, Steal Your Face, and a film, The Grateful Dead Movie. The movie was released in theaters in 1977, and on videotape in 1981. In 2004 it was expanded to a double DVD with bonus cuts and documentaries. A few months later, a five CD album was released as The Grateful Dead Movie Soundtrack. The album included even more previously unreleased tracks, including a rare "Tomorrow Is Forever". The DVD contains one track not released on the soundtrack ("Sugaree" from October 18).

Music critics call Lin Hai, the most noted pianist both in China and Taiwan, a genius with an eastern right hand and a western left hand. He has also been described as having "the temperament of Chopin as well as the languidness and elegance of Debussy," and "the affability and strong melodic sense of George Winston and the enriching and imaginative thoughtfulness of Keith Jarrett." As critics also term it, Lin Hai is a genius whose has "an easternized right hand and a westernized left hand".

At twenty he was the best in his country and represented China in the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, becoming the first Chinese ever to enter the semi-finals. In 1992 he graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music. At the same year, he began giving concerts in Taiwan and China and composed movie scores and TV drama scores. Lin Hai was exposed to jazz at the early age of twelve. This early exposure and his solid training in classical music combine to give his music a unique quality, which switches freely between classical, New Age, modern and Jazz music. He plays the piano in a way that makes the notes sound clearcut, warm, and calm. The pieces he composes are uncomplicated and quiet, but are imbued with a sense of humanity that can soothe the listeners.

Def Jam unveiled a stunning new talent in 2007 with I AM, the debut album from Chrisette Michelle. Though raised on gospel, Michelle's biggest influences are clearly old-school jazz divas in the vein of Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan, as their textured, bluesy phrasing can be heard informing her own delivery. Yet Michelle is decidedly contemporary, threading elements of contemporary R&B, hip-hop, pop, and adult-alternative into her unique brand of neo-soul. Help from artists like Babyface, John Legend, and will.i.am heighten the profile of an already mightily impressive debut.

    The Mystery of Nevâ:
Sound, like a ship passing through the mysterious, is a bridge between the ocean unfathomable and the world in which we live. Since time immemorial, every lover of music who journeys on the musical sea has crossed this bridge. For us, Nevâ serves as our bridge to that mystical, veiled ocean. Nevâ has always been a keystone of our music – never failing to reveal new doors, horizons, and worlds to all who pass through. Nevâ offers a strong foundation, not just when presented as a sound or tone, but also as a mode, harmony and melody. To honor this, we open this recording with Nevâ Pesrevi by Tanburî Cemil Bey who has been a flame inspiring all tanbur players since his time. We also wished to name the final album Nevâ. In this recording, we tried to carry the torch of Nevâ, handed down through the ages from musician to musician, as far as our power, heart and love would allow us to, bowing only to musical concerns. We did our best not to compromise this pure style that has been flowing throughout history.

We present Nevâ to the listener, asking for forgiveness for our mistakes, if you should hear any. We'd like to express our gratitude: first of all to our teachers who made it possible for us to collaborate; to Cengiz Onural who opened the doors of not only his studio, but also his heart, and who catalyzed our creation of this work; to Hüseyin Tuncel who played the rhythm section during the recordings and was always by our side in spirit; and to Kaf Music Company. Every breath taken, every plectrum moved to bring about this humble creation is dedicated to its reason forbeing.

    With thanks --
    the musicians,
Murat Aydemir (tanbur) and Salih Bilgin (ney).

    From Wikipedia :
